What is the
One Plate at a Time about?
We (The Missions & Evangelism Committee) started furnishing a Saturday
lunch (once a month) for the Lacombe Senior Center clients in May
of 2010. The reasoning was that these folks needed to eat on Saturday as
well as the lunches they received Monday thru Friday. This was begun
even though there was no funding...but, we got'er done! This year we
have funding, and the Village Men, Ladies and Youth are each preparing
and serving three meals along with our group. We're also looking to see
if there are any unserved needs for home food delivery.
